I can’t help admiring Branson. Gotta say, his Virgin Galactic plans looks pretty exciting.

FUND APPEAL LETTER
We are a missionary church spreading the word and we started a Nursery and Primary school in Bissau city in 2007. Bissau is the capital of Guinea-Bissau, a war and conflict infested country on the coast of West Africa bordering Senegal and Guinea-Conakry.
The name of our school is Fountain of Wisdom School which in Portuguese is Escola Fonte da Sabedoria. We teach the basic subjects of the country’s educational system. We also teach English as a second language as well as Bible knowledge. Even the Muslim children enrolled in this school have no option but to follow our Bible knowledge classes. From grade three we give every pupil a New Testament Bible which was donated to us by Missionary Jonathan Quinn who was an American missionary to Guinea-Bissau for over year.
For this educational service we charge a small fee of 4 dollars a month for a child in the Nursery section and 6 dollars for a child in the Primary section. This minimal charge goes directly to pay the teachers. As of last academic year we registered 348 children and ended up with 313. So 35 children dropped because they could not meet up with this meager amount. Yet there are thousands of children in this poverty stricken country that do not go to school. In this wise you can be a partner to our help the children’s education in Guinea Bissau by a commitment to sponsor one or more underprivileged children.
So we need to put up classrooms for the school. We have just raised the foundation. We need to fill it with soil at the cost of 600 dollars; we need to concrete it at the cost of 1600 dollars. To raise the walls will cost us 2500 dollars. To cover the four classroom block will cost 4000 dollars. Doors and windows will cost 450 dollars while the plastering and painting will cost 1000 dollars.
Since we started this school we have not been able to raise the funds to build the classrooms. We have the land for the school where we are also going to build the church. We are transiting from the Fifth to the sixth grade.
For this reason I write to appeal for sponsorship of this school project. Be part of educating the children of Guinea-Bissau through our ministry. Your mite will be very much appreciated.
With a staff of 16 youths and three adult women in this project we believe we are contributing in a meager way to solve unemployment. We have a total of six women employed in this school.
You can be part of this project by donating to it. On the wall we will make a design with the names of all who donate to this project.
Since 2009 this school has been growing without convenient classrooms. The structure at the background is an uncompleted building that we rented. The space can no longer accommodate the school.
You can also help by mobilizing your friends and family members to be part of this project. But if you choose confidentiality we will respect it.
You can also choose to sponsor some orphans and underprivileged children for 80 dollars per child per year. We will gladly furnish you with details of the child. With 100 dollars you can sponsor an orphan or underprivileged child in our school for one academic year. In which case we will send you photographs of the most vulnerable and poor children in this community.
Please we are appealing for your donations. Help us educate these children. Let us leave a legacy for the future generation.
God loves a cheerful giver and your blessings are bound to increase as you donate.
Thank you.
